Job Title: Senior Software Design Engineer in Test
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our team at Agdata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our domain-driven enterprise applications, which are developed using SQL, Angular, C# .NET frameworks and hosted on Service Fabric. The role involves a thorough understanding of various databases and storage solutions like SQL Server and Azure Storage, as well as messaging services like Service Bus. Our engineering team works in an Agile Environment using mostly Azure DevOps Pipelines and Releases.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience as an SDET
  • Experience in software development or test automation in Angular.
  • Experience in Software Development or Test Automation in C# programming languages.
  • Experienced with testing REST APIs & UI automation on selenium with C#.
  • Experienced in writing complex and efficient SQL queries to help in data validation and test case procurement
  • Experience of testing web API through code is strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience of OOP design with C# programming skill is preferred.
  • Prior system testing experience of large-scale deployments will be a plus.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools from Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools.
  • Ability to recognize errors and assess risks within applications and or processes.
  • An understanding of the ROI and risk for ah-hoc testing, test automation, code coverage and feature coverage

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in story grooming to ensure the details and dependencies are well defined with considerations for testing
  • Collaborate with Product Owner and Developers as a team to deliver quality
  • Write and maintain tests cases, execute and perform ad-hoc testing with the user experience in mind
  • Automation of all the test cases is the standard followed, perform manual testing only when automation is blocked
  • Review Pull Requests to ensure commits are up to standards
  • Maintain CI/CD Azure pipelines and releases for new and existing projects
  • Monitor the Azure Release for regression bugs and or issues with environments
  • Work with various teams to coordinate testing of features cross team boundaries
  • Be vocal during Retrospective meetings and follow up on process improvements
  • Managing quality and bugs reports in all stages of releases
  • Manage defect-tracking and resolution processes
  • Maintain documentation on responsible projects and contribute to internal wikis so we can share knowledge across teams
  • Collaborate with internal SDET community across development teams to continuously refine best practices
