We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Software Engineer for the PCW Solution Engineering team at CVS Health. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions. In this role the senior software engineer is expected to carry a passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities and mentoring other members of the engineering community. A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience and proficiency in Java, Python, Go, Node.js and microservices/containerization
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service, cloud optimization, security, performance and cost efficiencies.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular etc for Web and Mobile.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience developing microservices and cloud native apps using Java/J2EE, Go, Node.js, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework JPA (Java Persistence API) (Or any other ORM), Spring Security and similar tech stacks (Open source and proprietary)
- Experience working with Unit testing using framework such as Junit, Mockito, JBehave
- Ability to build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins etc. as part of CI/CD process
- Experience working in an Agile-based development environment
- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar
- Experience with AI/ML technologies, Building LLM based Agent Models, RPA, Drive analytical outcomes..etc
- Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in developer communities
- Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical challengesSkilled in working effectively across different teams and departments, building strong relationships and driving collective success

- Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience
