We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate environmental sustainability individual to join the strategy team within our global sustainability consulting group. The primary function of this role is to manage and deliver projects and to develop even more business in the domains of CSRD including EU Taxonomy, carbon and sustainability risk assessments, double materiality assessments and broader ESG projects of a strategic nature.
In this role, you will help shape the future of how we support companies in their CSRD compliance and ESG strategy. Our sustainability experts help organizations develop, design and execute integrated sustainability strategies with full transparency to help companies make smarter, more sustainable business decisions. Through Sphera’s combination of software, data and consulting expertise, we are in the unique position to support companies in their sustainability journey as they set sustainable targets and map out their path to net zero emissions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Deliver corporate consulting/advisory services, in particular in the areas of CSRD and ESG strategy, including EU Taxonomy, Double Materiality and TCFD assessments and reporting;
  • Support developing our ESG consulting business;
  • Maintain key relationships and accounts, facilitating the development of our client’s sustainability programs;
  • Manage projects of all sizes on time and budget and with happy clients and happy teams;
  • Maintain a high level of quality in proposals and deliverables, and ensure quality assurance according to Sphera’s QA processes;
  • Outreach to companies and institutions to support and grow their sustainability programs;
  • Assist in developing sustainable solutions with our clients, enabled by Sphera’s software and consulting offerings.

Key skills and experience

  • A positive “can-do” attitude;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience;
  • Proven experience in delivering consulting projects in then following domains: CSRD, EU Taxonomy, (Double) Materiality Assessment, TCFD, ESG Frameworks
  • Experience in Corporate Carbon Footprinting incl. Scope 3 and development of reduction strategies is an advantage
  • Sound project management skills (client-facing)
  • Tertiary degree;
  • Full proficiency in German and English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
