Title: Sr. Systems Engineer (Product Discovery)
Duties: The Sr. Systems Engineer (Product Discovery) will participate in any and potentially all roles of the systems development life cycle. You will develop, plan, and/or maintain software applications and enterprise systems as well as debug, design, code, test, write specifications, roll-out software, and provide production support for those applications and systems. You will utilize Java and Spring Boot to develop products and create enterprise-level solutions to process Search collections sourced from Catalog data for E-Commerce. This Sr. Systems Engineer will work as part of an Agile development team and coordinate with product owners and business partners to gather requirements and document as needed. Additional responsibilities include design sessions with architects to produce designs, troubleshooting issues in development and product environments, performance improvements of existing platform. This Sr. Systems Engineer will also mentor junior team members by participating in weekly “Big Picture Talks” to increase team member understanding of new tools and technologies especially related to Java,Spring Boot and Search methodologies. This position has no direct reports.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related and 8 years of eCommerce and search experience, including:

- Java
- Unix Bash shell scripting
- Agile process
- SCM tools including GIT and (SVN)
- Build and deploy applications using Maven and CI/CD Jenkins
- Spring framework, Spring Boot
- ATG, Endeca
- Monitoring application performance using tools such as DynaTrace, Splunk
- At least 2 years of coaching, mentoring, and providing technical supervision
