What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sr. Test Analyst, you will join CIBC’s Core Banking & Payments Technology Technology QA team to support QA program initiatives . Your responsibilities will include end to end test support, governance, and continuous improvement. You’ll be hands on with all aspects of the systems testing process and provide suggestions and input that will ensure client needs are met with the highest quality. You’ll analyze requirements, write and execute test cases, ensure test coverage, work with QA teams in other departments, and assist with estimates.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Testing Expertise –Analysis and translation of business requirements into test cases. Take part in end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
  • Project Coordination –Work with your coordinator to identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received.
  • Leadership Skills – Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback and support. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in CETM, software development testing, automation, and process improvement principles. Hands-on experience in manual/automation testing, writing, and executing test cases. Experience in testing tools such as ALM, UFT/Selenium, SOATest is an asset. It’s also an asset if you have prior experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies
