Job Title : DX Sr. Web Developer /UI/UX Developer (React/Angular)
Location : Detroit, MI
Duration : 6+ Months

SUMMARY

Responsible for the development, testing and implementation of complex web solutions using JavaScript frameworks for a major health care payer website, mobile application and secured portals. Ensures designs comply with organizational standards. Serves as consultant for department on web projects and mentors web designers and non-technical team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provides technical leadership and mentors web designers on technical issues and best practices. Leads research activities to implement new web technologies and provide ideas for technical or business improvements.
2. Monitors and delivers key performance indicator reports of site and campaign activity to drive the ongoing development and optimization of compelling web content in order to increase traffic and time on site, drive product sales and increase registrant opt-ins for loyalty and retention programs.
3. Monitors competitive landscape to find best practices and strategies to provide new design recommendations.
4. Develops and maintains the client’s internet website and secured portals. Designs front-end web solutions and performs testing and implementation. Provides technical support with the integration of front-end HTML, CSS and JavaScript design deliverables to the back-end development deliverables in conjunction with IT.
5. Develops prototypes and mock-ups to help develop, demonstrate, and validate business requirements to ensure all stakeholders understand what will be built and to help identify potential issues early in the project.
6. Participates in quality assurance and UAT testing and monitoring automated tools to improve and maintain quality standards. Assists in gathering and documenting business requirements, developing prototypes and formulating test plans. Supports Content Management System publishing tools in conjunction with IT teams.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
2. Three (3) or more years of web related software development experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Expert proficiency in all of the following: HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON.
2. Competency preferred in the following: Angular 5+, React, Typescript, Lodash, Adobe Experience Manager Bootstrap CSS, NodeJS, NPM.
3. Demonstrated ability to develop websites that work across multiple browsers and platforms.
4. Working knowledge of online marketing tactics, industry trends and user behaviour including search, email and social networking platforms. Working knowledge of user experience and content management systems.
5. Ability to work closely with management and business analysts to understand and translate business requirements into creative technical solutions that address company goals.
6. Proven ability to understand Enterprise level applications, design, develop and integrate new features into existing systems, identify dependencies and risks of new tasks and features.
7. Ability to collaborate with IT development teams and ensure solutions are delivered in line with department objectives.
8. Ability to lead and contribute to process improvement projects involving online applications and tasks.
9. Experience with mentoring web designers and non-technical team members.
10. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
11. Ability to lead to plan, organize, direct and control projects as the project lead.
