Description:
Do you want to grow your leadership skills and work in a global environment, improving the quality of life for people with hearing impairments worldwide? Are you an experienced Usability Engineer interested in improving user experiences within hearing technology while taking the lead in fostering team collaboration and Agile practices?
MAKE A REAL IMPACT
We are looking for a Senior Usability Engineer with an interest for both usability and team coaching to have an important part in our transition to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). In this dual-role, coaching will be your priority. You will support user-centered development for hearing instruments and related systems, while also guiding a motivated team towards excellence in Agile practices.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
You will split your time equally between two responsibilities - working as a Senior Usability Engineer and coaching the Usability & CoCreation (U&C) team in Agile product development within SAFe. As Team Coach you will facilitate team events and processes and support the team in delivering value throughout the organization and in Agile Release Trains (ARTs) specifically. U&C operates as a Shared Service Team, working across R&D, QA/RA, Sales & Marketing, and Product Management. You will therefore work closely with a wide range of stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Team Coach, your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding the team through the transition to SAFe, ensuring alignment across ARTs.
- Promoting a culture of self-management and relentless improvement.
- Supporting the development of high-quality, compliant solutions for medical devices in a regulated environment.
- Facilitating cross-team alignment with other coaches and Scrum Masters to ensure smooth product delivery.
As a Senior Usability Engineer, you will:
- Promote user experience design to ensure our hearing solutions offer the highest level of usability.
- Leverage your expertise in UX, ergonomics, behavioral design, and user interaction to guide product development.
- Conduct formative usability studies, gather and analyze data, and provide actionable design recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with international standards like IEC 62366 and ANSI/AAMI HE75 Human Factor Engineering FDA guidelines for safety and effectiveness as part of Risk Management for medical devices.
