JOB DESCRIPTION:
The SRM finance Analyst will provide a key supporting role to the Business Partnership community on the financial stewardship of our +$500m Trade Expenditure budget. Effective management of this budget is key to our long-term value-creation goal.
This role will operate across Europe and through the establishment of new processes and analytics will unlock greater value creation through the visibility of our Trade investment and MAC financial performance.
The role of SRM Finance Analyst will report to the Senior FP&A Manager for Food & Nutrition Europe. Whilst working in close partnership with the European SRM team and the Finance Business Partners for each of the Market Units in Food & Nutrition Europe this role will be responsible for:
S&OP/Period Performance
- Providing support to the BP for REM during Quarterly close process to ensure the accurate recognition of trade expenditure and the identification of Ops for the further optimisation of trade investment
- Provide support to Market BPs and Controllership on engaging with External and Internal Auditors on any matters regarding trade expenditure
- Providing support to the BP for REM in pressure testing the quality of the Trade Expenditure / Volume to Value forecasting within REM Market Unit
- Partner with FP&A, Market Unit BP and SRM teams to ensure TPs are correctly and commonly used as the backbone of COGS forecasting
Long Term Valuer Creation & Process Improvement
- In partnership with the FP&A Manager – design, implement and maintain a standard process for the forecasting of Corp MAC performance and the establishment of a standard data set to enable portfolio decision making
- Bring visibility to the overall off invoice investments made across Food & Nutrition Europe and partner with the SRM and Finance community to determine and optimise the value of these
- In partnership with DT and x-segment resource, provide support to the European Finance team on the replacement/upgrade/standardisation of trade management platforms
- Provide ad hoc support to Finance and SRM community as required during annual Target setting and Negotiation processes
Professional Qualifications
- University Degree or Masters Degree with an Accounting or Finance background
- Analytical skills and a high degree of detail orientation
- Digitally savy
- Ability to operate virtually across geographies
- Proficient in Excel
