We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Religious Education Teacher to join our vibrant College community. As a member of our team, you will play an integral role in shaping the spiritual, moral, and intellectual development of our students, fostering a strong foundation in Catholic teachings while inspiring faith-based learning.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCREDITATIONS:
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Completed Tertiary Qualification
- Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Secondary Religious Education Teacher, you will report to the Principal and be responsible for delivering high-quality, contemporary Religious Education. You will work collaboratively to enrich the faith and academic lives of students, contributing to the Church’s mission and serving as a witness to faith within the school community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Show a strong understanding of the Religious Education curriculum, underpinned by Catholic Theology, including key concepts, skills, pedagogy, and subject-specific literacy.
- Select and adapt learning strategies appropriate to each student’s developmental stage. Encourage students to be active witnesses of their faith, and inspire them in their spiritual and personal growth.
- Develop and implement dynamic and engaging learning programs, negotiating with students to set individual, explicit, and achievable learning goals.
- Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback that supports current and future learning outcomes.
- Be an active member of the school community, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students to nurture a living faith within the school and broader community.
