Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Income Tax Returns and Financial Statements for all different trading entities (using MYOB – Practice Software)
- Review of clients accounting software files, including adjusting, reconciliation & balancing of accounts & assisting with improving clients use of the software – namely MYOB & XERO
- Reconcile various Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts
- Preparation of clear and concise work papers as evidence and support of work
- Preparation of Livestock Accounts (Horses), including Write-Down Schedule and Broodmare Activity Report
- Preparation of Tax Planning position (including distributions and dividend payments)
- Cashflow Projections and Budgeting
- Structure Reviews and assistance with preparation of Business Plans
- Preparation and assistance of non-chargeable internal reports & benchmarking of client information and horse industry
- Supporting Director and team with ongoing compliance work and special projects
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, including providing quality and timely services to them
- Managing your own workflow and delegating where applicable
- Liaising with third parties such as ATO, SRO, Lending Institutions, Auditors etc.
- Assisting & participating in further development of the Practice’s knowledge, skill base and processes, including participating in both internal & external training.
