Staff Accountant (Food & Beverage)

We are offering a permanent role for a growing client located in the Ocala, FL area. The position is for a Staff Accountant within the Food & Beverage department, who will be primarily tasked with maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

• Execute daily banking activities and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple companies and accounts.
• Manage daily accounts receivable tasks including billing customers, paying vendors, and reconciling bank statements.
• Oversee the mortgage database, which includes entering new mortgages, posting payments, processing ACH drafts, recording payoffs, and communicating with residents.
• Perform and review account reconciliations for general ledger accounts on an established routine basis.
• Assist with accounting functions as assigned.
• Support other Accounting staff with monthly sales tax reporting and payroll reconciliations as needed.
• Stay current with all accounting developments and trends.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files.
• Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.

• Ideal candidates will have 2+ years accounting experience within food & beverage or restaurant industries
• Proven knowledge and application of GAAP Accounting is required.
• Experienced in managing and maintaining the General Ledger.
• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations is needed.
• The candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Must have the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary.
