Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a passion for hospitality to support the financial operations of our dynamic restaurant portfolio. In this role, you’ll ensure our financial systems run seamlessly, from accurate data entry to reconciling accounts and delivering financial insights. Working closely with our Corporate Controller and senior restaurant managers, you’ll play a crucial role in guiding the financial success of each location.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum of three years in accounting, with a preference for candidates with restaurant or hospitality accounting experience.
Skillset: Strong understanding of general accounting principles, excellent cash handling abilities, and attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with M3 accounting software is a plus.
Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Reconciliation: Balance daily revenue reports, accurately process and count cashier/server deposits, and manage bank deposits.
Accounts Payable: Process and review invoices to maintain timely payments and track expenses.
General Ledger Management: Ensure precise general ledger entries for each restaurant, supporting the integrity of financial records.
Financial Guidance: Collaborate with restaurant managers, providing them with valuable insights and financial guidance to support operational decision-making.
Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly financial statements for each restaurant, facilitating reviews with senior management.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Gift Certificate Tracking: Reconcile and manage gift certificate accounts for all properties, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Team Collaboration: Engage in cross-training opportunities within the accounting team to ensure cohesive operations and mutual support.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Consistently uphold a professional demeanor with all team members
Promote a safe work environment and immediately report any unsafe conditions
SALARY RANGE: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience
