Description:

This is a full time, hybrid (3 day onsite, 2 day remote), TEMPORARY contractual engagement that could lead to a permanent position and is located near Bensalem, PA. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p (or 7:30a - 4:30p).
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Bristol, Pennsylvania. The role involves a hybrid of both onsite and remote work and is based in an industrial solutions manufacturing industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be primarily assisting the finance and accounting departments with a focus on accounts payable functions. Technical sufficiency is a must have as they are 100% online (no manual/paper processes). Strong excel skills are a big plus too (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables/Formulas/Charts).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree in Accounting (Bachelors) or equivalent experience in lieu of.
  • Strong Excel understanding (able to work within their setup of Excel, involving pivot tables/vlookups)
  • Technically sufficient and comfortable being 100% online (no manual/paper processes)
  • 1+ years’ experience in accounting/finance field, primarily focused on AP staff or senior accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing accounts payable functions, which includes managing relationships with various vendors and executing month-end processes.
  • Taking charge of the chart of accounts, ensuring accurate coding and organization.
  • Attaching sub-contracts to invoices as part of the accounts payable process.
  • Conducting weekly reviews of vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Applying sales commissions to the correct accounts in a timely and precise manner.
  • Utilizing advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting, including using VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Formulas, and Charts.
  • Leveraging technical proficiency to manage 100% online accounting processes.
  • Assisting with the processing of customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records.
  • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.
