Description:

Lisa Cole is in search for a Staff Accountant to strengthen her client team in the Professional Services industry, located in Roseville, California, 95661. In the heart of the accounting function, you will play an essential role in ensuring the financial operations of our organization run smoothly. You will be involved in key processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the processing of customer credit applications with precision and speed
  • Keep customer credit records updated and accurate
  • Resolve customer queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed
  • Assist in the creation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and comply with accounting standards
  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure efficient cash flow management
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliation and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Assist in performing account reconciliation and analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
  • Prepare financial reports for management as required
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks effectively to perform duties.

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficient in using accounting software, specifically QuickBooks
  • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Familiar with performing bank reconciliations
  • Ability to maintain the General Ledger and make Journal Entries as needed
  • Experience in closing accounts at the end of each month (Month End Close)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness with the ability to handle sensitive financial information
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
