Description:

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in BETHEL PARK, Pennsylvania. The role primarily involves handling accounts receivable and collections, with an emphasis on accounting over collections. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and devise procedures for handling accounts receivable and collections
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues efficiently
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive customer credit records
  • Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall organizational goals.
  • Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) operations and related software
  • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of General Ledger
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a professional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting software and databases
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.
