Description:
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Warren, Rhode Island. The role entails working in the non-profit industry, handling multiple entities and using QuickBooks Online for various accounting tasks. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
- Resolving customer inquiries and ensuring the accurate maintenance of customer credit records.
- Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Handling payroll duties, including input and payment through QuickBooks.
- Processing approximately 70 invoices per month for the main office, 35 for the café, and 10 for the construction prov location.
- Taking responsibility for the correct coding of invoices in QuickBooks.
- Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain financial accuracy.
- Regularly updating the General Ledger and making necessary Journal Entries.
- Conducting Month End Close procedures to ensure all financial data is accurate.
- Leveraging proficiency in Quickbooks Online for various accounting tasks.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management
- Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries accurately
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online for accounting tasks
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
