The role involves a variety of accounting duties, notably general ledger management and credit and collections operations. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field required along with 5+ years accounting experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations
• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of General Ledger Systems
• Experience in Collections and Collection Processes
• Skilled in Journal Entry Preparation
• Proficient in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Familiarity with Account Reconciliation procedures
• Experience in Reconciliations
• Ability to prepare and analyze Income Statements
• Previous experience in a scientific instrument manufacturing industry is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Conduct detailed analysis of the general ledger, including month-end journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Review and analyze financial data, providing financial recommendations when necessary.
• Facilitate the annual audit process by providing necessary account information and documents to outside auditors.
• Perform reconciliation of bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
• Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers and clients.
• Set and enforce credit limits based on risk assessment.
• Monitor and manage overdue accounts to minimize bad debts.
• Negotiate payment terms and conditions with clients.
• Review credit applications and conduct credit checks.
• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures.
• Analyze financial data to evaluate credit risk and provide recommendations for credit approvals or rejections.
• Maintain accurate records of credit transactions and collections.
• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to optimize credit processes.
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.
• Streamline accounting processes and document accordingly.
