Description:

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Millburn, New Jersey. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in our financial planning and projections, job costing, forecasting and budgeting, and bookkeeping processes in a physical workplace setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records and reports
  • Handle bookkeeping activities, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded
  • Conduct financial planning to ensure the financial health of the company
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate funds are available for operations
  • Prepare financial projections to guide decision-making processes
  • Execute job costing to determine production costs
  • Lead in forecasting and budgeting activities, aligning with the company’s financial goals
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and receipts.
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and management
  • Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
  • Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus
  • Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of accounting.
