Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Northwest, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks including the accurate processing of financial information, handling accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the proper functioning of our corporate office.

• Handle the analysis of financial information and preparation of balance sheets.
• Resolve matters related to accounts payable and receivable.
• Accurately code invoices to the correct accounts and departments.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Execute end of month closing procedures to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to maintain and analyze financial data.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven experience in a similar role is beneficial
• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
