Description:

Title: Staff Accountant
Industry: non-profit
Comp: up to $60k

The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Online, non-profit accounting, and working in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability and ability to pivot from one priority to another are key attributes.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and handle daily and weekly accounts payable.
  • Attend to immediate client assistance needs on a daily basis.
  • Execute daily deposit processing in QuickBooks.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing and review using Paychex.
  • Prepare bi-weekly client deposits and assist with monthly accounts receivable processing.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and prepare customer invoices.
  • Support monthly general ledger reconciliations.
  • Manage monthly online credit card processing, including verifying expense receipts.
  • Be responsible for yearly 1099 processing and quarterly inventory count of company’s Gift Cards.
  • Ensure all Accounts Payable Records are maintained in accordance with the company’s Document Retention Policy & Procedures.
  • Assist in preparing reports and assembling documents for internal and external annual audits.
  • Contribute to annual budget preparation.
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or financial role
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and Account Reconciliation
  • Previous work experience with Nonprofit Organizations is desirable
  • Ability to handle GL tasks competently
  • Experience in Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Knowledge in handling Form 1099 is an added advantage
  • Experience in Annual External Audit is necessary
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online is a must
  • Must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism
