Description:
Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the Development industry to find a Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in Cherry Creek. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of project-based accounting for construction projects or real estate developments.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with industry standards such as GAAP.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to vendors and receipt of funds from clients or tenants.
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management to maintain adequate liquidity for projects or property operations.
- Track job costs and expenses for construction projects, ensuring they are within budget and accurately recorded.
- Calculate and record depreciation for real estate assets and construction equipment.
- Prepare and file sales tax and property tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for construction projects or property portfolios, including preparing pro forma financial models.
- Oversee payroll for construction crews or property management teams, ensuring compliance with labor laws and proper allocation of labor costs to projects.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring accurate reporting of real estate holdings or construction projects.
Degreed or nondegreed
4+ years with industry experience in a blend of property and construction required
Willingness to do a bulk of the AP work, ability to do Journal Entries and help with month end.
