Description:
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the automotive industry, located in Alpharetta, Georgia. This position is integral to our team, and we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail to handle a variety of accounting tasks. You will be involved in multiple functions such as processing transactions, maintaining records, and resolving inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the accurate and swift payment of vendor invoices
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of these processes
- Employ your skills in Microsoft Excel to research and resolve discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable and receivable duties to ensure all financial transactions are executed and documented accurately
- Conduct regular reconciliation of company’s general ledger
- Prepare journal entries and assist in the month-end close process
- Utilize software such as Oracle, NetSuite, Quickbooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status
- Ensure accurate customer credit records are maintained
- Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.
- Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries.
- Proven experience in managing Month End Close procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
