Description:
My client is actively seeking an experienced staff accountant to join their large accounting team. This company offers a base salary plus bonus, excellent benefits, numerous paths for growth and a hybrid schedule with a good quality of life. Responsibilities:
Take ownership of all accounting and finance responsibilities for your assigned properties.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting and explaining any variances.
Allocate Common Area Maintenance expenses (CAM) and make sure they are billed and collected appropriately
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Record and ensure accuracy of all daily, monthly and recurring journal entries.
Apply knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley in daily operations
Work independently and multitask effectively
Utilize skills in Public Accounting, Public Accounting Audit, Audit - Financial, Commercial Real Estate, Month End Close, Journal Entries, General Journal to perform duties effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience as a Staff Accountant
- Candidates from Public Accounting or Corporate Accounting encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
- Ability to prepare Journal Entries and General Journal
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
