Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join one of our clients based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, from operational support with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to supporting with journal entries and GL reconciliations. This is a great opportunity for those seeking a challenging environment, where they can wear many hats and play a critical role to a team dynamic.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately inputting accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
  • Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts
  • Processing journal entries as required
  • Participating in annual audits
  • Assisting with daily inventory and cycle counting procedures
  • Maintaining reports and ensuring the proper filing of documents
  • Providing support for payroll processes
  • Demonstrating adaptability by taking on additional tasks as necessary
  • Collaborating effectively within a small team environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Experience in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance
  • Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries
  • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
  • Knowledge of ADP - Payroll for managing payroll duties
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 is a plus!
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
