Description:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. This role involves a wide variety of analytical and specialized accounting administrative support, including maintaining records and systems, generating financial reports, and assisting with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting duties, including AP and AR
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Manage fixed asset system
- Assist with property tax and sales tax filings
- Prepare and distribute monthly/weekly/daily reports
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and end of month/quarter/annual activities
- Prepare account reconciliations, variance analyses, and various accrual calculations
- Assist with Internal and External audits
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Handle additional duties and projects as assigned
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations
- Ability to manage and update the General Ledger
- Familiarity with creating Journal Entries
- Knowledge of Month End Close procedures
- Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), are a plus
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
