Description:
We are on the hunt for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, this role will involve managing various accounting tasks within a private country club setting. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for handling accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and other financial procedures. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Handle the payroll process for around 100 employees, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and club-specific software for various accounting tasks.
- Maintain a strong understanding of various accounting systems including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
- Conduct month-end close procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
- Regularly review and update financial records for accuracy.
- Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts and payments.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role
- Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations with accuracy
- Experience with General Ledger management
- Able to prepare and post Journal Entries
- Knowledgeable in performing Month End Close activities
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
