Description:
Robert Half is in search for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues and financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the real estate field. Relies on information and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years’ experience in real estate or construction accounting.
EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree in related field (business, finance, accounting)

Responsibilities:
Post and monitor all journal entries booked to the General Ledger in an accurate and timely manner on a monthly basis.
Assist in closing the General Ledger and record proper accruals in an accurate manner on a monthly basis.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Review invoices for proper coding against budgets. Assist in the posting of AP batches as requested.
Complete monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statements in an accurate and timely manner.
Prepare and update supporting schedules to the financial statements on a monthly basis, and as requested.
Work with Accounting Managers to provide outside tax preparers with accounting information (i.e., working papers) as requested for the timely preparation of tax returns.
Assist in the preparation if accurate and complete audit packages, including, when applicable, complete and accurate responses to external auditor questions or requests for information.
Undertake other duties from time-to-time assigned by the Accounting manager and Controller.
Bring any accounting issues to the Accounting Manager’s attention on a timely basis
