Our team of paediatric professionals works collaboratively to promote the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of every child. They are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Paediatric Psychologist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the mental health and development of our young patients.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Paediatric Psychologist, you will play a critical role in assessing and treating children and adolescents with a variety of psychological concerns, including developmental, behavioural, emotional, and learning challenges. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including paediatricians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers, to deliver holistic, family-centred care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology with a focus on child development, clinical psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible to practice psychology in Ireland.
  • Experience in paediatric psychology, with a strong understanding of developmental, behavioural, and emotional disorders in children.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT, play therapy, and family systems approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Commitment to culturally sensitive and inclusive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients experiencing behavioural, emotional, or developmental difficulties.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, teachers, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Offer psychoeducation and support to families and caregivers.
  • Contribute to team meetings, case conferences, and inter-disciplinary collaborations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to remain current with the latest in paediatric psychological care.
