WHO WE ARE SUPPORTING

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO’s member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:

  • Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO’s communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
  • Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO’s military commanders to plan and execute operations.
  • Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
  • Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO’s mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.
  • Information Management: The NCIA manages NATO’s information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.

Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO’s communication and information technology capabilities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Activities that involve logistics managements.
  • Participates in the overall planning, organizing, and directing of programmers, services and support activities carried out through all logistics functions.
  • Activities that provide the transportation capabilities necessary for the movement of unit, personnel, equipment and supplies in the peace and war.
  • Must have Light Vehicle Driver license.
  • A Full C and E (Heavy Goods with Towed Heavy Trailer) driver license;
  • Must have completed NDSS (including RDSS, PAM and MCMS module) training;
  • Must be a qualified Logistics specialist.
  • Have extensive experience in supply management for communications logistical support of mobile land units

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in NATO working environment or other international organizations.
  • Communication and information system qualification with previous experience in a signal unit operations staff or IT civilian entity.
  • Experience with coordinating staff work of a CIS organization, or working experience in a CIS Office of an international organization or military Headquarters, or private IT company.
  • Knowledge of European military and civilian telecommunications.

EDUCATION

  • Secondary education and basic training for specific tasks related skills, with 2 years’ experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the co-ordination and execution of logistics functions in accordance with ACE and Battalion Directives.
  • Assists in providing all functions to care and assure the supply life cycle support for the company’s equipment, including accountability, requisitions, storage, inventories, distribution, and provides the material necessary for the maintenance of vehicles, electronics devices, computers, etc.
  • Be responsible for developing transport load lists, deployed equipment inventories and report of survey documents,
  • Provides supply technical assistance and supply on the job training to other supply specialists.
  • Be responsible for the loading security of equipment and containers, ensuring conformity with the host nation and international regulations.
  • Assist Section Head in the management and supervision of the logistic support section.
  • Act as NDSS operator.
  • In the provision of the required services they will be requested to drive the vehicle, more than 3,5 tones, with passengers, load for short distances
