About The Job
Position Summary:
As an active member of the Legal Department, collaborate with internal teams to review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, as well as other telecommunications contracts. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with procurement, product, engineering, IT, finance, cybersecurity , marketing, and other business units in the US and in Canada. This position reports to the Director, Legal Affairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements for a telecommunications services company, including lit and dark fiber service agreements, video, high-speed Internet and phone service agreements, bulk/multiple-dwelling unit service agreements, agent agreements, and tower lease Agreements, as well as associated assignments, amendments, and orders related thereto.
  • Assist with litigation and pre-litigation matters.
  • Work closely with sales and internal clients as a trusted business partner, responding in a timely and productive manner to requests and providing them with strategic advice, industry guidance, and general support.
  • Participate in training of company personnel regarding legal contracts, operations, and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA, Juris Doctor with Bar Admission.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an attorney , including reviewing, negotiating, and redlining commercial contracts in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, with the ability to evaluate, manage and prioritize multiple projects on various subject-matters simultaneously.
  • Experience with a telecommunications company preferred.
  • Strong and effective communication skills.
