Johnson & Johnson Medical GmbH is recruiting for a Business Excellence Engineer (m/f/d), located in Norderstedt, Germany.
As a Business Excellence Engineer, you will assess, monitor, and improve operational performance within a large manufacturing facility. Your curiosity drives you to seek out data and deliver new insights. By applying business leadership and technical skills, you support the development of a continuous improvement culture. You are comfortable mentoring and influencing multiple levels within the organization (associate to management).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the execution of a plan to deliver process performance improvements related to Quality, Delivery, and Cost of a manufacturing process or line.
  • Leverage digital systems and data analytics to conduct trend analysis and promote optimization and improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate machine capacity and use process knowledge to identify and mitigate capacity constraints and ensures the efficient flow of production.
  • Be a central player in site programs such as machine overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), waste reduction, and site digital strategy.
  • Actively contribute to build an organizational culture of continuous improvement on site.
  • Act as a Change Leader, working with process owners and customers to implement strategic process improvements.
  • Sustain business improvement results through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, ME2, JJPS (Johnson & Johnson Production System) and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lead and direct Root Cause Analysis of significant downtime events; implement permanent corrective actions to mitigate probability of re-occurrence.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree focused in Engineering, Technology, Data Science/Analytics or similar
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, and/or Project Management methodologies is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 4-5 years of proven experience in a regulated environment.
  • Strong technical skills related to process improvements and metric tracking.
  • Ability to work with and influence area leadership and executive management.
  • Demonstrates teamwork skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Shows strong problem solving skills.
  • Training delivery, facilitating, coaching skills are important
  • Bilingual (advanced English & German)

Preferred:

  • Project Management experience
  • Data modeling and visualization experience
  • Experience with various software systems a plus: JDE, SAP, OEE systems (Fastec, Tracksys, etc.), OMP, PowerBI, Qlik
  • Understanding of accounting and finance terms and business case analysis
  • Familiarity with GMP and ISO requirements
