We are seeking a skilled Staff Frontend Developer to join our iForms team. You bring deep technical knowledge, application development experience, and are comfortable owning the vision for app and feature frontend design. You are someone who sees the big system picture but can also dive deep into implementation details. You’re equally comfortable with presenting technical details to a variety of parties (Eng, Product, Senior Leadership) as well as providing mentorship, direction, and emphasis on best practices to the rest of the development organization.
Flexible Work: This role is full-time remote working with other remote members of the iForms team.
Responsibilities:
- Own, design and develop scalable frontend software systems for the iForms platform and the integration of iForms into the larger Quadient software platform
- Lead the technical direction and implementation of projects and specific domains, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards within the team and across Quadient software teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to our development teams ensuring that you lead by example and provide opportunities for team development and growth.
- Ensure the use of best practices in coding, design, and technology.
- Optimize and enhance application performance, security, usability, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and design/architectural discussions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the iForms platform remains innovative and competitive.
- Document design decisions, system designs, and technical specifications.
Your profile
- 8-10 years experience in frontend software development designing and creating web applications.
- Proven experience as a Staff Frontend Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency with frameworks like Angular and Vue and runtime environments like Node.js.
- Proven experience applying best practices for scalable, performant and usable web app design.
- Experience in multiple programming languages, with a strong aptitude for JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to diagnose software and team operational issues and work with leadership team to implement process improvements
- A willingness to participate at a leadership level to improve the iForms and larger Quadient development practices and software platform
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with both back-end and front-end development is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
