JOB REQUIREMENTS
- B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in product design.
- Proficient in hands-on analysis and problem-solving.
- Experience leading an electrical engineering team in a fast-paced, dynamic product development environment.
- Proficiency in Verilog HDL for FPGA design.
- Experience with FPGA development tools and environments (e.g., Altera Quartus, Xilinx Vivado).
- Strong understanding of digital logic design, timing analysis, and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with high-level synthesis tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., OrCAD, Altium Designer).
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, circuit design, and PCBA layout and design.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and team leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Adept at planning, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and following through.
- Preferable experience with Arria 10 FPGAs, MAX 10 FPGAs, Ethernet, camera interfacing, LabVIEW, and instrument control architectures.
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

ROLE SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Electrical Engineer to join our diverse team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology and play a key role in driving innovation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex digital systems using FPGA technology. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of high-performance solutions for a range of innovative applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Integration: Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to integrate FPGA designs into larger systems, ensuring proper communication and functionality between different components.
- Simulation and Verification: Perform functional and timing simulations to validate the correctness and performance of the FPGA designs, identifying and resolving any issues or bugs.
- Problem-solving and Issue Resolution: Analyze and troubleshoot intricate digital systems implemented on FPGA platforms, using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes to detect and address problems.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize FPGA designs for performance, power consumption, and resource utilization, ensuring efficient and reliable operation within the given constraints.
- Documentation: Create clear and concise design documentation, such as specifications, test plans, and technical reports, to foster collaboration and effective communication among team members.
- Leadership: Lead the electrical engineering team by providing mentorship and training.
Clearly and regularly communicate the progress of projects to a diverse management team from different functional areas.
