Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify for this position, you have:
- MSc degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of demonstrated ability with a proven track record of hardware-focused design activities
- Experience with high-tech mechanical constructions, preferably for Complex Capital Equipment
- Experience with Design Principles, High Precision Mechanics, Cryogenic designs, Mechatronic designs
- Excellent skills in tolerance analysis, FMEA, Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and Design of Experiments
- Multi-physics simulation experiences through effective use of Finite Element Methods
- Experience with UG-NX or other 3DCAD, TeamCenter

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Cascade mechanical specifications from higher-level requirements
- Lead and coordinate tasks of the mechanical engineers assigned to the project(s)
- Ensure meeting the standards of output quality by means of review mechanisms
- Lead complex problem-solving activities
- Develop world-class high-tech constructions with cost, specifications, and timing in mind
- Design for service, manufacturability, and reliability
- Support, steer, and empower internal and external mechanical designers
- Conduct FMEA and Safety Risk Assessments
- Define test plans and strategies
- Be the point of contact for multiple collaborators, including (sub)system architects
