Role Overview:

  • The Otis Service Center is seeking an OtisROLE, Staff Engineer Technical consultant. The Otis Service Center is located in Bloomfield, CT, however, the location of this position is open to other locations within the U.S.A.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, adjusting and repair support and guidance to the field offices on Otis and non-Otis products
  • Product/component upgrades, repairs and retrofits and technical information development
  • Maximizing field productivity/efficiency through the use of advanced technologies, improving elevator performance by reducing callbacks and repairs, optimizing use of key individuals/resources in the service business, reducing maintenance costs through faster problem resolution and reduced material usage
  • 10% traveling requirement

Education / Certification:

  • BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Qualifications

  • This position requires at least 8 to 10 years of Otis / Elevator industry experience. Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair various elevator products is a must, including the ability to do so remotely.
