Description:
Staff Engineer – Ventura, CA
Twining Consulting, Inc., an innovative Geotechnical and engineering, testing, and inspection company, is seeking a Staff Engineer for our Ventura Branch. This position will involve both office and field technical engineering assignments and assistance with project management. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow within the organization and is seeking an immediate impact on our growing geotechnical engineering, inspection, and material testing department.
Qualified candidates will perform the following duties:
- Provide support to the company’s project management, proposal preparation, and client interaction
- Support management on materials testing and inspection services
- Provide support in geotechnical operations
- Review daily field reports and laboratory test results for different projects
- Develop proposal writing for material testing, inspections, and geotechnical work
Required Competencies Include:
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of civil/geotechnical engineering experience preferred
- BSCE degree in civil/geotechnical engineering preferred
- California E.I.T. registration required within one year preferred
- Experienced with AutoCAD and Gint software programs preferred
- Proficiency in PC applications and Microsoft suite products including Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exhibits an advanced ability to analyze problems and develop alternative strategies to solve them
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with co-workers, clients, and potential clients
- Ability to maintain company established chargeability goals
- Ability to work closely with the marketing group
