QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in LLM fine-tuning, or
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience:
  • Proven expertise in large language models, including fine-tuning and application for various use cases with a track record of deploying models in production.
  • Direct experience with synthetic data generation for fine-tuning purposes is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members is a big plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of neural network architectures, transformers, and Computer Vision and/or NLP techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of innovative research and practical application.
  • Experience with distributed computing and GPU acceleration for training large models.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead our research agenda in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). This role will focus on advancing Turing’s core capabilities in the areas of large language models (LLMs) to address various use cases relevant to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deep learning, with expertise in large language models (LLMs), including model improvement using fine-tuning, synthetic data generation, etc. As a key technical leader, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models that power our AI-driven products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research Leadership: Drive the AGI research agenda, lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale machine learning models, with a focus on deep learning and LLMs.
  • Technical Excellence: Apply your strong foundation in LLMs to fine-tune pre-trained LLMs for various applications and domains, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
