Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Cloud Network Engineer to join our team in delivering world-class network solutions to our customers. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructures that meet the unique needs of customers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

The candidate should have

  • A solid foundation in networking including routing, switching, security and load balancing.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with cloud computing technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in working on Internet and data center networks.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex network architectures in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts and technologies.
  • Proficiency in using Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Deep understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with Federal customers is a plus.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement complex network architectures across multiple cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), incorporating best practices for security, performance, and reliability.
  • Cloud Networking Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, VNETs, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, Network ACLs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, Load Balancers, etc.) to optimize network traffic and ensure efficient communication between cloud resources.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform, Ansible and GitLab to automate the provisioning and management of network infrastructure, ensuring consistency, reproducibility, and scalability.
  • Bare Metal Installations: Demonstrate proficiency in installing and configuring network devices (Panorama, Palo Alto, ISE, Fortinet, F5) in bare-metal environments.
  • Security: Implement robust security measures to protect networks from unauthorized access, intrusion, and data breaches.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, security) to deliver end-to-end network solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
