Description:
Nottingham Children’s Hospital (NCH) is pleased to announce we have vacancies for both newly qualified* nurses and experienced registered nurses within our Neuroscience ward.
Ward E40 is Children’s Neurosciences ward specialising in Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neuro-oncology and Neuro-rehabilitation of Children and Young People. We also have 4 spinal high dependency beds.
Our team regularly works alongside the multidisciplinary team to ensure our patients receive a high level of holistic care and support to maximise their recovery.
We have a dedicated clinical educator to help you develop skills and experience in caring for the variety of patients we support in the department, with bespoke training days tailored to your needs.
We are also happy to accept applications from experienced adult registered nurses that have experience in paediatric settings. To be considered you must be willing to undertake further children’s specific training and development packages.

As a registered nurse at Nottingham Childrens Hospital you will be expected to maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.

Nottingham Children’s Hospital is set within the vibrant city of Nottingham known for its many historical sites and lively music scene. The children’s hospital is housed within the Queens medical centre campus and has 116 inpatient beds across 8 inpatient wards covering all specialitys, with many of our specialitys being regional centres as well as two neonatal intensive care units one based at our City hospital campus.
We have an innovative Preceptorship programme to support newly qualified staff during their crucial transition period from student nurse to registered nurse as well bespoke support for those joining our teams.
