We’d like you to join us as a Staff Nurse (RN) at our Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Nottingham.
At Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre , we offer rehabilitation, care and support to people with a brain injury or other neurological condition. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.
We provide a psychology led multi-disciplinary treatment model to deliver a high quality, specialist service for people who have a neuro disability or acquired brain injury.
Responsibilities:
- To give care and support to individuals, with physical and cognitive impairments as a result of brain injury or other progressive neurological condition.
- To work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker (with facilitation) for a defined group of patients/residents and take responsibility for:
- Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients/residents;
- Assessment of care and health education needs;
- Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient.
- Under supervision, to gain experience and skills in:
- Clinical practice;
- Facilitation and teaching;
- Management (as appropriate).
- To take charge of the ward/department/unit in the absence of senior nursing staff following performance review.
- To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period.
- To maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in line with Infection Prevention Control guidance within the clinical environment minimising the risk of cross infection.
