Band 5 Paediatric Nurse Post
1 x 37.5 hour post
The Children’s Continuing Care Team provide nursing support for children with complex health needs either in the child’s own home or Swanbourne Gardens. (Our NHS 4 bedded respite unit.)
The successful candidate will be based at Swanbourne Gardens, but will provide care in other community settings such as home or school.
You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
We strive to provide the children we support with high standards of care. We work in partnership with parents to help the children achieve their full potential. This includes accompanying the children on visits out into the community to gain social experiences.
We are looking for staff that are able to be flexible, we work around the needs of the families and the children which means we need staff who can flex their hours to start early, finish late and work overnight too.
We are looking for an Band 5 paediatric nurse. The post holder will have post registration experience, preferably of working with children with complex health needs and disability, either in a hospital or community setting.
Full training and supervision will be available from our existing senior team, but any previous experience would be desirable.
We are a very small but supportive team who can offer support and guidance to you in developing new skills and adapting to working in a new environment.
