We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with outstanding work behaviors to join our team as a Field Application Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a world-class organization that is dedicated to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The individual’s primary responsibility will be to enable the rapid success of our North America customer base across all customer segments / markets using our sample prep technologies for nucleic acid, cell, exosome, and protein applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Compete in a fast-paced environment to deliver exceptional customer service and support
  • Build new customer advocates from newly completed sales.
  • Assist with customer demonstrations as appropriate.
  • Provide post sales advanced troubleshooting and customer assistance to maintain customer relationships and maintain/increase sample prep sales.
  • Interact with multiple sales teams to provide technical support in helping to close deals.
  • Apply knowledge to develop innovative solutions to resolve complex problems and facilitate their communication across the organization.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of content; include company hosted websites, videos, seminars, applications reports, eLearning material, etc.
  • Collaborate with research teams to determine customer needs and provide superior technical support.
  • Prepare and present technical seminars to existing and potential customers, either as part of the sales process or at organized events.
  • Lead team projects and mentor junior colleagues.
