QUALIFICATIONS
- You have minimum 6 years of experience in software development, preferably within a Platform team with on-call responsibilities.
- Extensive experience with Golang; experience with JavaScript is also highly valued.
- Proven track record in building scalable, high-quality software and complex backend services, with high-scale platform architecture and development experience.
- Proven ability to direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision.
- Familiarity with agile practices and their application in building complex software products iteratively.
- Understanding of DevOps culture with experience in implementing automation pipelines for continuous delivery of well-tested software.
- Advocate for clean, maintainable code, promoting good engineering practices within teams.
- Proven ability to improve the quality of legacy code.
- Positive, proactive team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
- Pragmatic with a strong positive attitude, capable of working autonomously and overcoming challenges with passion.

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW
People in the Tax Core team are responsible for the technology that sits in the center of our product. Our services are helping to translate the enormously complex German tax law into a clean and simple application that our customers love.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and contribute to the development of our product’s backend written in Golang, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Drive the architecture and technology decisions for the platform, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Play a key role in building a scalable, future-oriented architecture and infrastructure.
- Take ownership of complex technical challenges aligned with the team and the overall technical roadmap.
- Collaborate with internal clients to expand the functionality of our platform.
- Partner with the Product Manager and Engineering Manager on new features, collaborating closely with the team.
- Mentor and support teammates, fostering an environment of growth and technical excellence.
- Continuously improve our strong team culture, cultivating a collaborative, transparent, and inclusive work environment.
