Description:
WHO WE ARE
At Imagination, we love innovating. We spend our time creating the graphics and AI chips that are at the core of your favourite electronic products, and we are expanding our IP portfolio to include RISC-V CPUs as part of our efforts to create the best Compute offering in the market. We have a no-compromise approach to making our technology as high performance and power-efficient as possible, all while being squeezed into the smallest space possible.
It’s this relentless drive to push the boundaries of what’s possible that has led to Imagination powering more than 10 billion of the world’s most iconic electronic devices, from smartphones to smart TVs, from drones to self-driving cars.
We need your skills to help us continue to deliver technology that will impress the industry and our customers alike, ensuring that people everywhere can enjoy smarter and faster tech than ever before.
Responsibilities:
The Services driver Platform, Debug and Tools team is part of the PowerVR software Driver Development Kit (DDK) group and interfaces with many other teams, including other driver teams, hardware development teams and research teams. The team is central to the development of new driver features and tool enhancements, involved in customer issue debugging and resolving security vulnerabilities. You can expect to exercise a wide range of GPU driver development and OS integration skills and have key involvement in the driver development road-map.
You will be developing driver software for cutting edge future devices with the opportunity to work closely with our customers, many of which lead the market in the products they create. You will be building on your existing software design and coding expertise, and you will develop specialised knowledge in many areas of the GPU hardware and corresponding driver features.
You will:
- Perform investigative debug work involving customer platforms, software simulators, and internal platforms
- Assist the Application Engineering group with customer issues, and integrating and porting our drivers to new SoCs.
- Develop expertise in one or more key areas of the driver, implementing the forward looking driver feature roadmap
- Form part of the team of engineers that drive the software release cycle to completion at regular intervals
- Contribute to the driver architecture to support current and next generation cores
