SYDNEY LOCAL HEALTH DISTRICT (SLHD) IS SEEKING A STAFF SPECIALIST TO JOIN OUR TEAM AT THE CANTERBURY HOSPITAL!

We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Endocrinology! The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Endocrinology is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Endocrinology, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Department of Medicine and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
In addition, the Staff Specialist in Endocrinology will provide clinical management and treatment of patients under their care, or patients admitted under the primary care of any other service, in particular in working with a multidisciplinary team to support the establishment and maintenance of the Diabetes Service. The Staff Specialist will be credentialed in general medicine, consistent with the role delineation of Canterbury Hospital.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Endocrinology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
