Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist in Nuclear Medicine to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital!
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Nuclear Medicine. The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Nuclear Medicine is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Nuclear Medicine, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Nuclear Medicine Department and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist will undertake and report on clinical diagnostic PET-CT and general Nuclear Medicine studies requested by referring doctors. They will be required to validate studies according to protocols and to ensure all Department Key Performance Indicators are met, including patient waiting times and report turnaround times.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) with recognised qualifications in Nuclear Medicine (and preferably Fellowship of the Australasian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
