Description:
Front-end development of a pre-designed algorithm that optimizes cargo grouping During your internship, you will develop a straightforward front-end for a Python algorithm to make it easy for the team to use.
You’ll have freedom in designing the front-end, with tasks including:
- Choosing the right software with the Purchasing IT Business Analyst and ITD Europe
- Managing meetings to track project progress;
- Building the front-end;
- Software implementation;
- Training the team on the software’s use.
- A view behind the scenes at a large international corporation;
- You will get a lot of freedom and responsibility;
- We are open to your initiatives and depending on the assignment you see your results back in the workplace;
- An experienced coach and supervisor who can teach you a lot and is willing to help you with your assignment;
- After your graduation, you will have the opportunity to start your career at DAF;
- An internship wage of € 250,- MBO or € 375,- Bachelor or € 450,- Master per month on full-time base;
- A travel allowance, if you don’t have a student travel product (provided by the Dutch government);
- A housing allowance, if you temporarily rent a room near DAF.
Each intern will have the opportunity to participate at the Student Event. During this event you will meet other interns and find out more about DAF/PACCAR! The assignment will take place within the Non Product Related (NPR) Purchasing team, part of PACCAR Purchasing Europe, located in Eindhoven. The purchasing department is an international, challenging, and inspiring environment that is responsible for the end-to-end procurement of all Goods and Services that are not related to the manufacturing of the trucks.
- Within NPR Purchasing you will be part of the team that is responsible for logistics sourcing. The diverse team exists out of four people. As the logistics team we are responsible for ensuring that all truck (spare) parts arrive on time, in the most efficient manner, all throughout Europe.
We are looking for a responsible and enthusiastic student currently studying in the field of Computer Science, IT, Digitization, or the like, with an interest in the logistics, or continuous improvement.
- A basic level of English is required;
- The internship days are negotiable.
