dormakaba is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our Summer 2025 Rising Talent Program in Montreal, Quebec!

DORMAKABA RISING TALENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Whether interns are tasked with working in the plant programming robotic equipment on our Manufacturing shop floor or drafting designs of new products, or connecting with customers, out interns are given projects that drive our business!

Responsibilities:

  • Design and update plant layouts and production cells layout
  • Formulate and review work instructions for subassembly and assembly of locks components and others
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement process (DMS, Kaizen , A3 problem solving, etc.)
  • Gather data and analyze the business challenges alongside subject matter experts.
  • Drive evidence-based decision-making that helps design a new process.
  • Schedule routine check-in meetings with your supervisor to monitor the advancement of assigned projects.
  • Attend weekly lunch and learn sessions where you will get to learn more about a business topic of the week! Some examples of past topics include: Top 10 Presentation Skills, Environmental Health and Safety, StrengthsFinder, etc.
  • Deep dive into data and use evidence-based decision making that helps design a new process, introduce new technology, re-imagines the way we collaborate, or positively influences our culture.
  • Sit in on meetings both within and beyond your designated role to broaden your engagement.
  • Collaborate with other interns on projects.
