We have a great opportunity for a customer-focused superstar to join our whānau, as a Stakeholder and Communications Advisor. You’ll play a key role in stakeholder engagement and communication activities for the Transport & Infrastructure business across Taranaki.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking key communications activities across roading infrastructure contracts.
- Minimising disruption caused by operations through public communications and liaison with customers to achieve a positive customer experience.
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders through the implementation of communication plans - achieving a high level of customer, stakeholder and client satisfaction.Provide customer and stakeholder insights throughout planning, delivery and close-off stages of projects.
In a nutshell, this role will involve a high level of community engagement, dealing with enquiries from the public, communicating with stakeholders including businesses and residents regarding road maintenance or construction activities, preparing and delivering communication material (e.g. works notification letters), customer administration and working with our Bid teams when necessary.
This is a Part-Time, Permanent opportunity offering 30 hours per week, working across Monday- Friday office-based from our New Plymouth office.

With prior experience in a customer, communications and/or stakeholder management role, you will bring with you a foundation of strong communication and time management skills. We are seeking someone who is a confident, people-person who is comfortable working with a diverse range of individuals (crew, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and members of the public).
You’ll also bring:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to execute stakeholder identification, analysis and engagement.
The ability to efficiently problem-solve, negotiate, use initiative and resolve conflictsStrong computer literacy, experience using MS packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and record keeping experience
