Description:

  • Executive Level 1, Non-ongoing for up to 3 years
  • $110,115 - $120,760 + 15.4% super
  • Brisbane preferred. All other Bureau capital city office locations may be considered.
The Australian Government is investing around $230 million over the next 10 years in flood warning infrastructure in Australia’s highest flood risk areas. This investment will enable the Bureau to simplify ownership and maintenance of high-priority flood warning assets through the acquisition, upgrade and integration of key local government-owned, and some state government-owned rain and river level gauges into its existing flood warning network across Australia.
In support of this investment, the Bureau’s Flood Warning Infrastructure Network (FWIN) Program seeks an experienced Stakeholder Engagement professional to lead staff from across the Bureau’s various Groups and Programs to build our reputation as a trusted collaborator and partner in the delivery of flood warning services.
The role will lead dedicated Customer Leads across the Bureau in communication and engagement activities with key government and community stakeholders to inform the delivery of critical flood warning infrastructure and identify and inform of project impacts and sentiment.
Given this is a new function the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to help grow the Bureau’s stakeholder engagement capabilities in support of our flood warning network emergency management partners.
This role has a dual reporting line to the Manager, Stakeholder Engagement - Flood Warning Infrastructure Network (FWIN) Program and the Manager, Hazard, Preparedness and Response – National.
